Sunset Lighthouse - After the Storm

Blog 7 - My first tapestry when I began my CJ's Crafts business. As you know by now, I love weaving and have a degree in textile crafts. This was a really difficult tapestry technically, for several reasons, like a saggy warp and not wrapping enough around to provide extra warp ends for the more detailed areas. I love the end result and the uniqueness of adding in an extra detail of a gouache painting behind just sets it off beautifully. I even made the frame from scratch myself too. 8 years studying art, design, crafts & textiles really helps for moments like this.

I have dreamed of having this as a jigsaw, and now that has come true. I will buy when one I can what about you, what item is your favourite?
