The Christmas Bee - I Bee-lieve!

I love my little bee I painted for my sketchbooks, I am not always happy with my own art - the problem with being a perfectionist, but after I added him to some products (see my next blog) it suddenly occurred to me he might like to bee Christmassy (see what I did there? - ok sorry, but it is nearly Christmas!!). So the original is painted in gouache and with a little help from Photoshop, I have added a few embellishments. I have used PS since the 90's when I was at college and I love its versatility, so now I have finally coughed up the money that I couldn't really justify, you can see a lot more of me using it - it can really help with simple things like making sure a repeating pattern does! And of course the famous adding Santa hats and snow to summery bees!! Not to mention, I really need to justify keeping it - at least to myself anyway.
